Day 1. Arrival in Paro

Theme: Entering the Kingdom

  • Arrival at Paro International Airport (one of the world’s most spectacular mountain landings)
  • Welcome ceremony with traditional khadar blessing
  • Visit Rinpung Dzong
  • Opening circle:
    “Why are we here? Vision of the Future City.”

Evening talk:
Introduction to Bhutan’s development philosophy — Gross National Happiness.

Day 2. Sacred Landscape & Inner Vision

Theme: Future begins with consciousness

Morning hike to:

  • Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)

Reflection session after descent:

  • “Inner architecture before outer architecture”

Evening fireside dialogue with a Bhutanese lama or philosopher.

Day 3. Travel to Thimphu

Theme: Governance & society

Stops along the way:

  • Tachog Lhakhang Bridge
  • Simtokha Dzong

In Thimphu:

Dialogue with representatives of the Gross National Happiness Commission.

Topics:

Ecology and policy— Gross National Happiness.

Day 4. Future Urban Vision

Theme: Designing the City of the Future

Visit:

Day 5. Culture as Living Technology

Theme: Art, craft, and sacred design

  • National Institute for Zorig Chusum (13 traditional arts)

Evening: Bhutanese music and dance gathering.

Day 6. Ecology & Regenerative Future

Bhutan is the only carbon-negative country.

  • Motithang Takin Preserve
  • Forest conservation projects

Talk with environmental leaders.

Workshop:

“What does a regenerative civilization look like?”

Day 7. Sacred Valley Journey

Travel to the Punakha Valley

Visit:

  • Punakha Dzong

Discussion:

  • Ancient wisdom guiding modern governance
  • Spiritual architecture and political power

Evening river meditation near the Pho Chhu.

Day 8. Vision Integration Retreat

Return to Paro

Private retreat day.

Activities:

  • Qi Gong / meditation
  • Vision council
  • Delegates present insights

“What will each of us bring back to our countries?”

Day 9. Departure

Closing ceremony.

Creation of a Visionary Alliance or ongoing collaboration network.
